COVERiT Roof Penetrations
Route ventilation and services through the EPDM roof.

Roof vent or cable route?
The weldable NovoProof® pipe sleeve is intended for the NovoProof® EPDM connection. The separately listed bitumen base element is a different connection option.

Roof vent with rain hood
The roof vent carries a PE pipe through the roof waterproofing. A NovoProof® sleeve that can be welded around its perimeter forms the connection to the EPDM membrane. A clamping band, rain deflector and rain hood complete the pipe assembly. Pipe sizes DN 70, 100, 125 and 150 are listed.
DN 70, 100, 125, 150 mmpipe length 1,000 mm
EPDM flange 300 × 300 mm (DN 70, 100)
EPDM flange 500 × 500 mm (DN 125, 150)

Cable entry with a 180° bend
The cable entry uses a 180° pipe bend to turn the cable route downwards. An EPDM rain cap finishes the opening. The described assembly also includes the pipe, NovoProof® sleeve, clamping band and rain deflector. This version is listed in DN 100 and DN 150.
DN 100, 150 mmpipe length 1,000 mm
EPDM flange 300 × 300 mm (DN 100)
EPDM flange 500 × 500 mm (DN 150)
Match the connection components
The components are also listed individually, from the PE pipe and sleeve to the clamping band and rain protection. Select parts that match the pipe diameter and waterproofing material. The information sheet below shows the individual components, pipe lengths and flange dimensions.

Installing the penetration
- Choose the version One-piece penetrations for single-skin roofs, two-piece penetrations with lower and upper part for double-skin roofs.
- Install and fix Install the penetration and fix it to the substructure.
- Connect the lower layer On a double-skin roof connect it to the vapour barrier, on a single-skin roof to the first waterproofing layer.
- Connect the sleeve Make the connection with the factory-prefabricated NovoProof® sleeve, secure it against slipping with a stainless steel clamp and seal it with NovoProof® connection paste.
- Weld the overlaps Weld the overlaps homogeneously using the ThermoFast® joining technique. The manufacturers’ processing guidelines apply (see the specification text).
Applications
Ventilation
Route soil vents and vent pipes with a cover hood through the waterproofing.
Cable routes
Route cables through the waterproofing; the 180° bend turns the cable route downwards.
Solar cables
Solar penetrations with a double pipe bend, one-piece or two-piece.
Planning notes
The pipe diameter determines the parts: EPDM flange 300 × 300 mm for DN 70 and 100 mm, 500 × 500 mm for DN 125 and 150 mm. Select the clamp, rain deflector and rain hood to suit the pipe diameter.
Specify the sleeve version (closed, open on one side, vertical or conical) in the bill of quantities; the items are listed in the specification text.
The detail drawing shows a standard construction. It must be checked, adapted and completed for each project.
