COVERiT NovoProof®

DA-FG

Glass-fabric-backed EPDM roll membrane

Directly on EPS. In a tested roof assembly.

NovoProof® DA-FG is the glass-fabric-backed EPDM membrane for flat roofs subject to high loads. Its dimensionally stable construction makes efficient installation easier in new builds and refurbishment. Depending on the tested system build-up, the membrane is mechanically fixed or bonded.

Installing DA-FG

Laying methods

  • Bonded

Choose the system adhesive and application method to suit the substrate.

  • Mechanically fastened

Arrange fasteners according to the project-specific wind uplift design.

  • With ballast

The specified gravel, green roof or trafficable layer secures the loose-laid membrane.

  • Loose-laid

The waterproofing is laid loose; the seams are joined with ThermoFast®.

  • Mechanically fastened without penetrations

Mechanical fixing without penetrating the roof membrane.

Installation steps

  • Check the assembly Match insulation and fixing to the tested roof assembly.
  • Secure the membrane Bond, mechanically fix or lay under ballast as specified. Position fixings to the wind-load calculation.
  • Fix the edges Mechanically fixed: also fix roof edges, valleys, upstands and roof penetrations linearly with suitable, approved fixings, 4 per metre (see the installation guide).
  • Close the seams Hot-air weld ThermoFast® overlaps and complete connections.

BROOF(t1) and BROOF(t3) are not interchangeable; use the classification for the roof assembly. Hot-air weld ThermoFast® seams, weldable under site conditions down to approx. −10 °C; carry out trial welds first. Rolls come with a ThermoFast® joining edge along the long side.
